Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th December, 10am to 4pm – Whitstable Castle TBC

If you’re looking to get in the Christmas spirit while also surrounded by some stunning history, then this is the Christmas market for you. These two days will be packed with festive goodness, from Santa’s grotto to the range of stalls selling a whole variety of holly jolly gifts and trinkets.


The Orangery Tearooms will be serving light lunches, minced pies and mulled wine. There will also be live music to enjoy and plenty of opportunities to nab some truly unique decorations to make Christmas in your home feel just right.


Our magical Santa’s Grotto will be open from 10am onwards (booking is essential)


Friday 12th November to Wednesday 24th December, 10am to 6pm – Canterbury


One of the most magical festive shopping experiences in the country – Canterbury’s traditional Christmas Market will open on 12th November to 24th December 2025.


Our sparkling new extended section in the stunning Canterbury Cathedral Precincts adds to the festive fun of the established sections in Whitefriars and St Georges, with a total of 120 huts and 172 stallholders over 137 pitches, Canterbury is one of the largest Christmas Markets in the South East and the largest in Kent. Click here for a map and information of the three areas.


Set within the heart of historic Canterbury, we are delighted to extend an invitation to you to join us in celebrating the Yuletide season! The Canterbury Christmas Market 2025 is here, ready to unfold a magical, festive spectacle that will warm your hearts.


Immerse yourself in the festive ambience as you explore our myriad of Christmas-themed stalls. The scent of mulled wine and hot chocolate, the delicious allure of festive treats, and the visual spectacle of handcrafted ornaments, unique gifts, and beautiful decorations will surely instill the joy and sparkle of the holiday season.


Your journey through the market will be accompanied by the sweet serenade of seasonal music. Live performances will set a merry tone, filling the air with beloved Christmas carols and jubilant holiday tunes.



Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th December 10am – 6pm – Rochester Dickensian Christmas Festival


Step back in time and start the festive season in Dickensian style at the popular Rochester Dickensian Christmas festival taking place on Saturday, 7 and Sunday, 8 December.


Each year, the first weekend of December brings Victorian festivities to Rochester in the form of a Dickensian Christmas, where you can experience street entertainment, readings, song and dance.


You’ll be captivated by Dickens’ characters as you explore the literary journey that was the great writer’s life.


Enjoy the charm of a traditional Victorian Christmas, there is so much in store this year for the whole family, including:



  • Live performances and street entertainers

  • Incredible costumed parades

  • Hands-on Dickensian themed workshops

  • An amazing Christmas market with 100+ stalls

  • Bavarian food village offering delicious food and drink

  • Magical funfair right in the heart of the castle gardens

  • And lots more!


A full programme of colourful and lively events will be published nearer the time.


Festival Parades & Carols – TBC


11am – Seven Poor Travellers’ Procession


Led from outside the Victoria & Bull Hotel, by the Town Crier, the procession will move along the High Street and conclude outside the Six Poor Travellers’ House, where a short speech will be made.


12Noon – Main Parade


Led by the Mayor of Medway, the parade of costume characters and performers will start in the High Street by Almon Place. It will move along the High Street, turn left at Northgate into Boley Hill and finishing on the Boley Hill Stage.


4.45pm – Candlelit Parade


Led by the Mayor of Medway, the parade will start on the High Street by Almon Place. It will move along the High Street and turn left into Boley Hill to join the carol service on the open air stage.


5pm – Carols for Christmas


This year we welcome the Rochester Choral Society as they lead the magical concert. Join BAE Systems Brass Band and all the festival performers in a selection of popular Christmas carols outside Rochester’s magnificent cathedral on Boley Hill, under a guaranteed snowfall.



Every Friday & Saturday from 15th November to 21st December 11am – 7pm, Sundays 11am – 6pm plus 22nd to 24th December 11am – 6pm Folkestone harbour

Folkestone Harbour’s Christmassy Oasis of independent market stalls, festive films, snow blizzards, live music, carol services and delicious food & drink is set to return.  A popular Christmas market which runs alongside a Santa’s Grotto and free outdoor cinema is back for its fifth year.


Traders will include Wayfarer Wines of Woodchurch, showcasing award-winning English wines and hampers, and a Produced in Kent stall, which will host a revolving mix of local producers.


Other highlights include Alakazam Magic, Folkestone artist Arron Miles, Dog Deli selling natural pet treats, and Gilda bakery, whose mince pies won a Great Taste Award last year.


Santa’s Grotto will return through December, and the big screen in the nearby Goods Yard will show films such as Home Alone, Elf and The Holiday every weekend, with live music from local bands in the afternoons.









The Christmas Tractors event also returns on December 20, featuring around 40 decorated farm vehicles parading into the harbour.

Attracting over 250,000 visitors a year from all over the country, Rochester Christmas Market is a bustling festive event located in the picturesque and historic Rochester Castle Gardens.


Now in its 16th year, Rochester Christmas Market is a well established, authentic Christmas experience has a large loyal customer base who come for the atmosphere, entertainment and Christmas shopping experience.

Sunday Lunch

What is more traditional than a good old fashioned roast, but save the faff and leave the cooking & washing up to us. Richards roasts are freshly prepared with the best quality meats and if some of the party aren’t so keen on this delicious piece of British heritage then there are some pub classics to go along side them.

Blackboard Specials

Having grown up being told not to play with his food – Richard is in his element with this menu. Both he & Adam bouncing their creative ideas around is a delight to listen to and even better when they are trying out new dishes – I happily volunteer as a Guinea pig! These are refined dishes, fully worthy of their 2 AA rosettes, perfect marriages of flavours carefully executed to give your palate a flavour journey to heaven and a piece of art on a plate to look at.

"The dinner was skilfully prepared and was outstanding quality. It was also extremely good value for the quality. Service is friendly and relaxed with a well coordinated team. I do not understand why Michelin have not given a red bib. It more than deserves it."
